Recycling idea... coupon holder with shopping bag

This is gonna be an easy craft.
Just you need a shopping bag, ribbon, glue gun, and any thick paper like a box. That's all!

I used the Anthropoligie shoppoing bag.

Let's start!

Prepare your shopping bag.
The size of it depends on how big you want to make.

 Then cut one side.
We're gonna use two ribbon hole. Don't cut them out.

To make this body part strong enough to support coupons weights,
attach any thick paper or box with glue gun.
(below)

Now, make the pocket part of coupon holder.
Use the other side of shopping bag.

First, cut the bottom of bag. The height depends on you.
Then, fold its both wing sides, top, and bottom to make them beautiful.
The wrong side of this pocket will be like the last picture. (below)

Then, stick both wing sides and the bottom of your pocket part to body with glue. (below)
.

Attach ribbon you like to two holes.

I attached some photos of my dog for decoration. :)

Tada~ It's done.
Isn't it super easy and cute?
Btw, how can I turn this picture left? :(

I just want to hang this coupon holder on the door knob.
Because I don't want to drive a nail to the wall.
But you can if you want.

Thanks for stopping by my blog.

Magic Box

Hi, everyone.

It's spring!! I was soooo looking forward to this spring even though last winter was so mild. Because I missed all greens.
Now, I can see cherry blossom in my bed room on 2nd floor, and yellow flowers through my kitchen window on 1st floor. How happy I am! :D

Today I made a "Magic Box".
What's the magic box? Can you guess?

 Here are all you need.
6 outside fabrics, 6 inside fabrics, 6 cotton batting, button, and ribbon.

1. Prepare 6 pieces for each of outside, inside, and batting. (Totally 18 pieces.)
2. Sew 6 squares like tea coasters.
3. Connect 4 side pieces and 1 bottom piece to make a box by stitching from outsides. (I used colored thread)
4. Sew the 2 loops to cover piece for opening and button.
5. Connect cover piece to body. (only one edge to open)

Sorry for poor explanation.
You'll get things done like this picture.
Looks ordinary box. Now, what would you want to use this for?

I will keep my period pads in this box.
That's why I name it "Magic Box". Every month women are magicked by period.

As you see, I made about one inch crack in bottom to take pads out through it.

Also, I can open the cover by loop.

I didn't buy this beautiful ribbon. It is from Anthropologie shopping bag. (Clothing store)

Isn't it cool? Since I've started sewing, I just can't throw away shopping bags and so on.

Let's sew whatever it is.

hand sewn iphone case

I made my cell phone case.
It's so easy to sew and compact to carry.

As a matter fact, I made my mind up to make this kinda of small accessory for my iphone, after I dropped my iphone on the concrete ground in the parking lot. It was disaster and I had to replace it with new one. Paid a lot. :(

So, how's it?

I used batting fabric between right side and wrong side to protect iphone.

I bought this pig button at Joanne. Isn't it cute?

Feel Sew Good~!

Stacey,

Crocheted sitting cushion

When I saw this crocheted sitting cushion first in Japanese book, I was falling in love with it. :)
Looks not easy, does it?
The colorful flowers with thick yarns make it more beautiful and plentiful.

In fact, when I made this, I had no teacher besides me.
Because I moved to Boston, I and my friend who is my knitting teacher in old city had to email each other.
Special thanks to her! :)

This baby pink color is my favorite. :P

This is the back side.
I think fabric would okay as well.

I would like to make one more with different color yarns before spring's come.

Why don't you knit anything in this beautiful winter?
Thanks for visiting.

Hand Sewn Pouches

Hand Sewn Pouches.

Wow, it's my first upload. So excited!

I made pouches by hand sewing.
You know, hand sewing means that the work is only one in the world. That makes me so satisfied. Whatever it went little wrong or the stitches are not exactly correct, it's okay.

I was impressed by my friend when she showed me her sewing, I fell in love with it and made three myself.
When I uploaded the photos to my facebook, my friends like them as well. :)
So, here it goes!
(for large image, click)

Sorry that I didn't take pictures while making.
I should have thought that I would start this blog. :P
How's it? Do you think that it's hard to make?

The pouch can be a gift itself or we can put it something in it.
I actually was asked to sell. So I'm gonna make one more for her, but it's my surprising gift. :)

Sorry for poor direction photos.

Thank you for stopping by.

Have fun sewing your work.

About me

Hi, my name is Stacey and I welcome all of you to my blog, "FEEL SEW GOOD".

I am so glad to share my sewing, knitting, some recipes, and my thoughts in this new world.

It has been for four and half years since I came to the states with my husband and a lovely dog, Cherry. I'm gonna share her life with you because she's an important part of my life :)

I've learned sewing a little in my school days but I didn't know how much I liked it at that time. Recently I realized that I love sewing and knitting so much! They become my precious hobbies and they always make me FEEL SO GOOD. :D

Please feel free to leave any comment or ideas to my writings and photos.

Look forward to having many friends who I can share many things with.

Thank you for visiting and see you again!
